Meet Our Team
Proud and Professional

Tony was described as both a visionary and a renaissance man. He brought over 40 years of experience in both the operations and analysis of water and wastewater plants to the laboratory setting. He often thought "outside of the box" to come up with innovative and creative solutions. Honoring Tony's legacy, we continue to maintain the high standard of service that the clients of Environmental Labworks have come to expect.

Ah, Mike. A name whispered in hushed tones in the hallowed halls of water quality labs, a legend among beakers and burettes. For over three decades, Mike has fearlessly stared down the murky depths of countless water samples, a veritable Poseidon of potable purity. He's seen it all, from the suspiciously sparkly to the alarmingly… well, let's just say "unique" hues. His nose, finely tuned over years of sniffing out the faintest hint of unwelcome microbes, could probably detect a single rogue bacterium in an Olympic-sized swimming pool. They say he dreams in parts per million and his blood type is rumored to be Hâ‚‚O positive.

But beyond the mystique and the slightly concerning level of water-related anecdotes, Mike is, at heart, a dedicated guardian of our most vital resource. He's the reason you can confidently gulp down that glass of tap water without spontaneously developing a third eye (probably). While others chased fame and fortune, Mike bravely chose the path less glamorous, the path of meticulously documented pH levels and diligently recorded turbidity readings. So next time you raise a glass, spare a thought for Mike, the unsung hero of hydration, the man who has spent more time contemplating water than a philosophical fish.

It didn’t take long for Julian (on the left in the photo) to make an impact on our team. Julian is a visionary much like his father Tony. With the exception that Julian's vision involves training primates to work for us. His vision isn’t just about employing monkeys; it is about bridging the gap between species, creating a more compassionate and mutually beneficial future where humans and primates co-exist and cooperate, each fulfilling unique roles in a shared world.

Trudie, a seasoned veteran of the environmental lab scene with over TNTC years under her belt, has tackled everything from wrangling unruly samples to ensuring our data is squeaky clean in project management and quality control. Her laser-like focus on the nitty-gritty details means nothing gets past her watchful eye, making her the kind of team member we'd trust to find a misplaced comma in a ten-thousand-page report. In short, Trudie's attention to detail isn't just good, it's practically a superpower.

In fact it would not be surprising to find out that she has been secretly calibrating our coffee maker.

The only thing that makes Trudie happier than a pencil with a fresh point is her energetic super pooch Halo.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Elmo is SO excited to tell you about his new friend, Dante! Dante is a REALLY, REALLY good friend, and guess what? Dante LOVES water! Yes, he does! He loves swimming in the big blue ocean, splashy splashing in the bathtub, and even just watching the little raindrops fall down, down, down! Sometimes, Elmo sees Dante giggling when the waves tickle his toes at the beach! He says water makes him feel happy and free, like a little fishy swimming all around! Elmo thinks that's super duper! If you ever see Dante near some water, be sure to say hi! He's a very splashy and happy friend!

As the mother of 3 fur babies - Sunny (the bunny), and Chicken & Goose (cats), Jen feels an affinity for all our furry friends. In fact, if it wasn't for her position at Labworks, she'd probably be carving woodland creatures out of pretty rocks in a forest somewhere.

When asked if she was a pasta shape, what shape it would she be and why? Jenn spoke of her kinship with ravioli, but thought that she would probably be a gnocchi because, "I, too, am full of potatoes (at all times)."

While twirling away the day inside of her fire hoop, Jenn can often be found in a state of "hiraeth", which is a deep longing or homesickness for a place, time, or past to which she cannot return, or which never was.

Does your staff have a princess (Caitlynn firmly believes that in a former life that she was one) that can break concrete bricks with her bare hands? We can proudly boast that ours does!

When asked what advice she had for a candidate that wants to join our team of superstars she offered, "Be able to multitask and if you ain't from the Island of Misfit Toys we don't want ya!"

She prefers dogs over cats because according to her, "dogs are man's best friend." She continues, "Cats are just evil. You ever see a bald-headed villain with a dog? No. Always got a cat."

Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed about cats are those of Caitlynn and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions of Environmental Labworks, Inc.
Lauren has some advice to share for anyone that wants to join our team of superstars; "Be good at juggling, whether that may be juggling tasks, or just as a fun party trick for us."

Her passion for environmental sustainability makes Lauren a great fit in our operation. At Environmental Labworks we pride ourselves in being "For the environment". Woe to those that are "against the environment!"(to be read with a fist shaking in the air)

To our lexicon she has added the Indonesian word "jaysus". While it has no direct English translation, jaysus refers to an unfunny joke that is told so badly that you actually laugh.
(Maybe I'm not as funny as I thought-Mike)

What do Leif Erikson and Ludwig Von Beethoven have in common? While their media differed (oral tradition/written word vs. musical notes), both Vikings and composers played a crucial role in shaping and preserving their cultural heritage through creative storytelling. Oh, and they both can be found on Natalie's family tree.

We feel very fortunate to have Natalie as member of our staff. If it weren't for her tendency to become seasick (Leif is rolling in his grave right now), she would have become a marine biologist and would be somewhere at sea right now.

When asked what she was in a previous life Natalie said, "I'm pretty sure I was a bat. I am most active at night, and I have horrible vision. Sometimes I, too, scream in the darkness..."
